Executive coaching

Your needs will dictate the structure of the coaching engagement that’s right for you. I can work with you to agree on a package that focuses on broad themes, specific goals, or a defined period of time. Regardless of how we shape it, three aspects of executive coaching explain why it is such a powerful structure for increasing your leadership effectiveness:

Self-driven

Coaching goes beyond the kind of organization consulting that adds value by identifying universal, best practice solutions to common problems. Through a process of inquiry and reflection, coaching draws on your own wisdom and expertise to zero in on the unique choices that will move you forward successfully.

Sticky

As a consultant, my job is often considered complete when I deliver recommendations based on my assessment of your circumstances. As a coach, by contrast, I work with you in an iterative way, staying with you as you experiment with implementing new mindsets and behaviors.

Relational

It is important to apply proven tools and frameworks in addressing your challenges — and I have a robust selection of such resources to support you. It is equally important to engage both head and heart in your work as a leader. The conversational nature of coaching allows for an empathic, human space in which I can help you vulnerably evaluate and alter the perspectives you’re bringing to the challenges you face.

Leadership Assessment

There are some guidelines to consider when deciding whether to collect feedback from stakeholders about how your leadership style is working for them. If you determine that it makes sense to take this step as an entry point to coaching, I offer a few options for you to choose from:

Custom

I can create a customized report based on confidential interviews and/or an anonymous survey using a short list of standard or specially crafted questions that we agree on together.

Standardized

You can choose one of the three research-based leadership assessment instruments I’m certified to administer — The Leadership Circle Profile, Leadership Agility 360, or Leadership Effectiveness Analysis.

"The clarity that emerges after each session is invaluable. You create space for deep listening and empathy. I am able to connect the dots for myself as you illuminate areas that I can't see. I leave each of our meetings inspired and encouraged and with tangible action steps to help me move ahead."
